Valencia, Spain.

A few weekends ago my program went on a weekend trip to Valencia! We hopped on a bus early in the morning and drove until we hit a little town on the way where we took a little boat trip on the river and then ate some amazing seafood Paella. This was the first time I had ever tasted Paella. I know what you're all wondering: "how was it?" and lets just say I had 3 plates full of it...

We went on a tour of the town when we got there. We saw all the plazas and interesting buildings and churches.

Next day we went to the aquarium! The highlight of that was the dolphin show. But honestly, after going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium back home so many times I wasn't super impressed by this specific aquarium. But then again my favorite sea creatures are jelly fish and here they only had two types while they had a whole exhibit in Monterey. I guess I'm just spoiled when it comes to aquariums.

After that we got some free time along the beach. I ventured off with my friend Rose into the town and got some nachos at a cafe and then snacks for the long bus ride back at the Mercadona. Turns out that was a genius idea on our part because on the bus ride the way back the wind was so strong we had to drive at a reduced speed because a truck had flipped over earlier.

Overall it was a very fun trip. I love the trips with ISA cause its like a giant outing with all my friends for the weekend that I don't have to plan myself and I get tours where I learn a lot about the city and things I'm seeing.

(sorry the pictures are a jumbled out of order mess!)
