Parc de la Ciutadella

awesome fountain in the park!

I love people watching in the park! and bubbles!

they all were literally walking in slowmotion like a boy band all day.

fall is coming to Spain!

So, on Sunday I decided that I wanted to go the this park called Parc de la Ciutadella because when I was looking for free things to do online I saw that it had a HUGE statue of an elephant in it and I wanted to see it in person. A few friends came with me on my adventure to the park, of course I got lost, again, trying to get to the metro stop we were meeting at. I think that I have the worst sense of direction ever, however I can always find my way home eventually, which is good!

But anyways, the park was actually way cooler than I was expecting. The fountain (pictures above) was HUGE and beautiful! The park actually had a zoo in/next to it also! We didn't visit the zoo though.

After walking around for a little bit we saw a lot of people riding these dirt bike type things and asked where they got them. So we exited the park and found the little shop across the street that rented out the bikes. We rented a few for an hour and it was SO much fun. We got one 4 person bike, 1 two person bike and 1 single. The four person bike was the biggest workout ever because only two people were pedaling and two were just relaxing. The solo bike was definitely the most fun because you can pick up so much speed and then skid when you stop on the dirt if you turn and hit the handle break fast. I would recommend getting all single bikes so that you can race your friends easier because any more than 2 is hard to get a move on in.

Parc de la Ciutadella was extremely fun, even though I didn't end up getting a picture with the giant elephant, which was the whole reason I wanted to go in the first place. Ahh well, next time!
