Our program, ISA, took us on a day trip to Girona and the Dali Museum in Figueres a few weekends ago. Unfortunately, it was POURING rain the entire time we were there. Our walking tour outside was miserable in Girona. I didn't really get very many pictures there because it was a struggle walking through the streets trying not to get soaked even with an umbrella! Luckily for me Celia, my host mom, lent me an umbrella earlier that week and I brought it with because many students were not prepared at all (some were even wearing shorts!) If I have the time to make it back to Girona when the weather is nice I'm going to want to try because if it hadn't had been so rainy and cold I think it would have been a beautiful place!
The Dali Museum was very interesting to visit. I didn't have enough time to spend all the time I wanted to look at all the art because our bus driver too FOREVER to get there (the other bus was waiting for us for at least 25extra minutes) but Dali seemed like a pretty weird dude, his art was wacky and I didn't really understand a lot of it but it was really interesting to look at! Even the design of his museum building was wacky with weird little golden popcorn looking things all over the walls and giant golden eggs on top.
